Workshop: Kata ashi

Our next suspension workshop will focus Kata Ashi (one leg up, one leg down) shapes and variations!

There are many ways to explore Kata type shapes. We will start with the concepts, with practical advice on how to better support the bottom when being tied in this intense shape.

We will cover several variations of kata ashi and how to tie them, exploring different constructions, different orientations and the challenges with each type.

Prerequisites:

• Riggers should know at least one suspendable chest harness e.g. TK or Butterfly Harness

• Familiarity with basic suspension line management

• Ability to work safely in suspension with your partner

• Bottoms should be comfortable communicating their experience in new suspensions
