About the event
Our next suspension workshop will focus on backbends!
There are many ways to explore back bends, otherwise known as Gyaku Ebi. We will start with the concepts, with practical advice on how to better support the bottom when being tied in this intense shape.
We will cover three variations of backbends and how to tie them, exploring different constructions, different orientations and the challenges with each type.
Prerequisites:
Riggers should know at least one suspendable chest harness e.g. TK or Butterfly Harness
Familiarity with basic suspension line management
Ability to work safely in suspension with your partner
Bottoms should be comfortable communicating their experience in new suspensions
Come ready to experiment, analyse shapes, and discover new ways to create rotation and twist in your suspensions.
