About the event

Tied Up Lads is a casual, male-focused rope session for men to gather, practice, and explore Shibari. The event emphasizes safety, consent, and inclusivity, creating a space where participants can be both present and playful without pressure.

The jam is not an instructional class, though facilitators will be available for light guidance, check-ins, and support. Participants are free to explore at their own pace and engage with others as they feel comfortable.

This event welcomes all men and male-identifying participants, including trans men and non-binary individuals who are comfortable in a male focused space. This session is designed to be affirming, respectful and mindful of diverse identities and experience.

Objectives:

  • Provide a safe, male-only environment for practicing rope.

  • Encourage men to explore emotional presence, vulnerability, and trust through rope.

  • Create a supportive space for men who may feel less comfortable expressing themselves in mixed-gender rope settings.

  • Foster a culture of clear communication, consent, and mindful interaction.

  • Offer participants the chance to experience rope as both a physical and emotional medium for connection.

Open rope jam with light facilitation, consent check-ins, and optional partner matching.
